Hello, My name is Pamela Fox, and I am the owner of Pammy's Pantry Gourmet Food Store.
I am a mother of one beautiful daughter and I live in Broken Arrow, OK. Before I had my daughter I was a workaholic and rarely spent time with my family. When I found out I was expecting, I realized I couldn't work the hours that I had been working if I wanted to devote more time to my family, especially since my husband travels. So I resigned from my job,and my husband and I moved to Oklahoma in 2002. Being a stay-at-home mom is wonderful and I don't regret quitting my job; however, I like work and I really missed the interaction with other people so when my daughter was about 11/2 years old I started looking for a way keep that interaction alive and also continue staying home with my daughter.
I love to cook and I experiment with food, beverages, and flavors and during this time I bought a lot of delicious coffees, teas, and experimented with many gourmet food mixes because I enjoyed them so much. Even with my love for cooking, I also like simple mixes for my busy family, and I thought, "Why not help others find inexpensive solutions for mealtimes too?"
I wanted to package my own mixes; however, the health code requirements are so strict here that I couldn't afford the expensive certified kitchen that is required so, I picked my favorites from those I had already tried, took care of the business end, and started selling these products at local Arts & Craft Shows and Saturday Markets. This worked out great because it gives me a few days a month that I can get out and meet people face to face and let them sample my products. (It also gives me a chance to get out of the house and gives my daughter time to play at grandma and granddad's!) Once people sampled the products they keep coming back for more! This proved to be successful so I decided to bring these wonderful products to you in one convenient location, a website, so my customers can come back again and again.
My business name, Pammy's Pantry, came from my childhood nickname, Pammy, and also from sweet memories of my grandma going to her pantry and pulling out the ingredients to make delicious cookies and wonderful breads. But in today's busy world who has the time to do all that now? At best we might have one day a week that we could spend half a day in the kitchen, and with today's busy lifestyles, we need wholesome, delicious foods that are quick and easy to prepare. As busy as we are we still want to prepare good food for our family!
I hope you can take a break, grab a cup of tea or coffee, and take a look around Pammy's Pantry!
Enjoy your visit!
Pamela Fox
